Keeping Your Car in Tip-Top Condition

To maintain the health of your car, it’s essential that you regularly get it serviced, according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.  Some cars need annual servicing, others may need additional servicing, depending on the amount of use.  Perhaps you’ve noticed a thumping sound, or a rattling noise when you drive?  Maybe your steering feels tight or you just have that feeling that your car isn’t running as well as it should be!  TyreChoice is right here ready to put any faults right so your car runs like a dream!

At TyreChoice, we offer two types of car servicing, a Logbook Service and an Essential Service for all makes and models. Here’s what they consist of:

Logbook Servicing

This type of car service checks your vehicle thoroughly, under the trained eye of one of our expert mechanics.  It is bound by your vehicle’s manufacturer’s guidelines and meets the tasks as set out in your logbook.  Usually, this type of service should be conducted every few months, depending on your car’s requirements.

Essential Servicing

The other service that we offer at TyreChoice is Essential Servicing.  This option is ideal for an older car or if you’d rather manage your car’s servicing without using your manufacturer’s service schedule.

How is regular service important?

Regular servicing is essential to keep your vehicle running safely and to maintain its longevity. By using the best products and knowledge applied, we maximise the life of your vehicle and spot potential problems before a major one occurs. We will provide suggestions on any concerns or areas that need to be addressed.

How regular should I service my car?

Generally a vehicle should be serviced every 10,000kms. The average person usually takes 6 months to drive 10,000kms. We ensure our customers are on top of their services with reminders to check so that their car is running smoothly.

This not only maximises the life of your vehicle but also maximises the performance of your engine.

Tyre pressure and tread check: A check on tyre wear, pressure and overall condition is carried out to ensure it is up to safety standards.

Wheel alignment check: A check to ensure your wheels are aligned creating a straight and centred drive, to prevent uneven tyre wear and uncomfortable vibrations on the road.
